I wrote the review "I would love to love this" which I have pasted below. After the review someone from the company responded and the sent me a replacement. I think it is awesome that a company is willing to do that and I am so excited to get to use the Eggspert again. Because of this I am changing my recommendation to a "yes I would recommend" and will be looking to get things from this company again since I know they stand behind their products.

    Original Review:
I had used the wired eggspert for years and was happy to upgrade to the wireless version. I received the unit halfway through last year and it worked well. This year I went to use it and the teacher remote won't work. Without that, the system is useless. I'm not sure what happened to the remote since it was working fine the last time.

I use the wireless eggspert and it has been VERY FRUSTRATING, it doesn't seem to get the signal from the eggs or the remote. Students had to press the eggs many times before it lights up, if even does it at all. Does things when you have not touch the eggs or the remote.
It is very expensive product that doesn't do his job at all.
I want to smash it against the wall sometimes.

Comments about Educational Insights Wireless Eggspert® 2.4gHz:

I use this product in my high school classes. I told my students that they must be EXTREMELY careful with the buzzers. Even after saying this and observing them being delicate with them, after one session two buzzers stopped working. I replaced the batteries, tried moving them closer, restarted everything, but nothing happened. The main tower also does not light up the broken buzzers 'eggs' when using 'wheel of fortune' mode. I'm really disappointed. I wanted to use this throughout the year, but right now I'm frustrated that I spent so much on it.

Hi! I have buy the Wireless eggsperts and my student very love them. Last week, i want to use the Wireless and i realise that he dont work. I open the eggspert before the teacher remote (like you said in the guide), but all the light open and never close. The week before, my orange button (the button for student) doesn't work, and i only can use 5 buttons. Do you think that the orange button it's the reason why nothing work now? My students are very sad that we can't play anymore. Thanks for your answer!

I use this for my "Fabulous Quiz Show" and have lots of success. The only negative is the lasting quality of the pods, or buzzers. The purple one is already broken. We use them quite a bit, though, and the purple buzzer was broken after another teacher borrowed the set. I plan on buying an extra set to have ready replacements. Perfect for the use and I think priced for the value.

I bought the wireless version. I was so excited to buy this for those quick review quizzes in class, but it soon started to break down. Within the first year, the yellow button broke. Even though the students treated it respectfully, I figured that it's possible that one student pressed it too hard, so I bought the extra remotes in order to replace the yellow one. The new yellow one broke within a month, which tells me there's something wrong with the product. Still, I continued using the 5 remaining colors, and now this year, after replacing all of the batteries, only 4 out of the 12 eggs work in Quiz show mode. I can still use the console and let it choose a student randomly, but that's it. I'm SO disappointed in how easily this breaks.

I bought a Wireless Eggspert a few years ago and one button stopped working pretty quickly. Customer service was great and replaced the whole set because by the time I contacted them (which was outside of the warranty), another button had stopped working. However, the Tone function does not work on either set. No matter what, when the time runs out, it says "Time's up" and does not play a tone even if I slide the button to Tone. It's annoying. The eggs also have a lag time in responding, and the signal doesn't reach across my small classroom, so students have to crowd in close. For this money, it's not a bargain by any stretch.

I bought this Eggspert 4 years ago with the intention of using it for review sessions in my class. I am a science high school teacher and my students liked it! They enjoyed the review time more!

The reason why I gave 4 star was because my purple buzzer stopped working after several uses and I bought the 6-pods replacement and happened the same thing. This year, I decided to contact the customer service and tell them the condition of my purple buzzer. They sent me a replacement right away even I bought it several years ago! Thank you! Nice customer service.

I use Eggsbert for review before a test. Students love it. The colored lights allow me to easily see who clicked in first to answer a question. Unfortunately the clickers wear out - rather quickly. For the price, each clicker should last at least 2 years - I am lucky if I get 1/2 to 3/4 of a academic year out of all clickers. I even bought a replacement set of clickers that did not last a full academic year. Wired Eggspert lasted 2 years before clickers started wearing out.
