This comes packaged in a very sturdy tree shaped box that is also used as a game board. It is a favorite game amongst the preschool-aged children I care for. The 3 and 5 year old were able to teach the 2 year old fairly easily how to play the game.Taking turns is not easy, and it was definitely a skill that was learned through this game. They learned matching and counting skills by collecting the correct number or the specific color acorn to the spot on the cute little tree stump. They also develop fine motor skills by spinning the spinner and picking up the acorn with the fun "squirrel squeezer" (their favorite!). Sometimes they have to skip a turn which also helps them develop good sportsmanship. We love this game. I think It would make a good gift for either boy or girl between the ages of 3-7

We borrowed this game from a friend and my son enjoyed it so much, we just went out to buy our own. As soon as we got home he was excited to play. I was very disappointed when we opened it and he looked at the logs and told me the place for the red acorn is actually orange! He is correct! This can be quite confusing for children just learning their colors.

Comments about The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game™:
I have so much fun playing this with my three year old I had to buy another game as a gift for his cousin! =) It is great for counting and colors and he absolutely loves when he lands on the sneaky squirrel and gets to steal my acorns. =) Unfortunately our spinner came apart and we have lost the bottom half. I would love to buy a replacement but haven't been able to find an option for that anywhere.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 3 year old loves this game. Its fun and easy to do. We always have to do best 2 out of 3 games. We played the game with my brother, he has an intellectual disability, and he loved the game too! Great game for color matching, and even numbers.

My 3 year old LOVES this game , and it's so simple. My compliment goes to the company and the customer service though. My daughter lost an acorn so I called to try to find a replacement expecting to pay for the acorn and shipping. When I said I was missing a blue acorn she asked my name and address and simply said we will get it out in the mail. NO CHARGE! and no hassle. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I will keep coming back to this company and buy their games to support this type of company. Thank you !

I'm a pedagogue. I use with my patient. I was talking with the father of twins and they start fighting and they broke the spin. I used glue but i think it is not enough. Can you sell me one spin, please? Thanks!
Merchant response: Hi PatriciaYour new spinner is shipping out :) of course let us know if you need anything additional.

First board game for my three year old, and a Christmas gift for the whole family. Love it, especially the fact that if a nut got lost or someone bumps the board, it is still playable. Easy to understand. Easy to clean up. Fun for the whole family. Really cute! Thanks for designing this game!
Not good for color matching!
About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
The red acorn is red. However, the spot to put the red acorn on the log is orange as orange gets! Very confusing to my 3 year old who knows his colors well. He didn't want to put the red in the orange. Other than that, it would be a great game.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My kids love playing the Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game! It reinforces the concepts of color identification, counting, sorting, and taking turns. The game and pieces are very durable and have withstood frequent use.
Top quality made, fun and exciting for younger children.

How wonderful to see a game that is actually so sturdy it will last for years of constant use and not break down!My 12 year old son has Down syndrome and absolutely loves this game. It took us quite a while to play, each time we did, as we all kept losing the acorns to the wind! A good game for coounting, not just your own pieces, but everyone else's to see who is winning! Good for discussions, weather-the wind blew the acorns, what else does it blow? Heavy/light things etc? Feelings, squirrel is sad because he lost his acorns, what else makes us sad,/happy/angry etc. Stealing acorns, just for fun, musn't steal in real life, etc. Lots to talk about while playing, all within the context of the game. Lots of good fun hours of quality with the kids. Though my son is a little old for this, he is really into competition and loves playing with his friends and siblings. Colors are vibrant and squirrel squeezy is good for eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. I wouold definitely recommend this for younger children, especially since it does not need any reading skills and, once they know to play they can feel big about their own independance.
