Comments about Educational Insights Rhyme Out!®:

I purchased this card game during an educational fair when both my children were in elementary school, 4th & 6th grades. Now their in the 9th & 7th grades and this game has stood the test of time. We absolutely LOVE how engaging and educational this game is. We travel quite often and this game is a must have on every plane ride. It's so much fun that other passengers ask what we're playing. The reason I came back to this site is because on a recent flight we left them on the plane. Needless to say we were all upset and the flight home was pretty boring.

Rhyme Out is a fun rhyming game suitable for kids and adults alike. There are 600 different questions which gives you thousands of ways to makes rhymes. How it works is that each card will give you clues to the rhyming words they're looking for. For example, a bird that lives in a pond, a deer with antlers, and a vehicle that hauls things. All three answers need to rhyme, so the answers are duck, buck, and truck.

This fun game is a great way for kids to grow their vocabulary. It's a simple game without any complicated directions, and even the package doesn't take up much space. Anyone who enjoys a good word game is going to love this.

Comments about Educational Insights Rhyme Out!®:

Rhyme Out is a rhyming game for kids ages 10 and older. Adults will likely enjoy this game. The ranking for 10 and older is due to vocabulary. You can include younger ones, but I would recommend that you play as a team then.
I like to play games just for fun and not keep score and that applies with this game. That way the game can last as long or as short as you want it to.
In Rhyme Out one person draws a card and reads the three clues out loud. Everybody else races to answer the correct responses that rhyme with each other! Whoever gets to 10 cards first, wins!
You can imagine the fun and laughter that comes from the guesses.
The game is small and easy to bring with you on travel.
Please note that this game was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.

Comments about Educational Insights Rhyme Out!®:

I really like playing games together as a family. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow time for fun and games! One exception to that that I can always count on is the holidays.

Our family tradition is to go camping for Thanksgiving weekend. It's always a fun time and one of the things I look forward to the most is game time! We tried a new game this time called Rhyme Out. It is for ages 10 to adults but I still decided to give it a shot with my six and seven-year-olds because they are supersmart!

The object of the game is simple so I figured that they could at least get the main idea. One person draws a card and reads the three clues out loud. Everybody else races to answer the correct responses that rhyme with each other! Whoever gets to 10 cards first, wins!

Here is an example and the first card that I picked. The clues are: another word for smelly, another name for your little finger, and small in size. The hint is rhymes with inky and the answers are stinky, pinky and dinky. This is very first card had everybody laughing out loud and I knew immediately that we had a hit on our hands.

I like that the concept is simple and I did not have to read the directions five times to understand them like I have had to with many games recently. There is one fun the little twist to the game and that is the steel card where you can steal cards from other players if you draw this card.

After playing it with my kids I think that the age recommendation is simply due to vocabulary and how many words kids have learned at that point my kids did pretty well have extensive vocabularies but they are only in first and second grade so they did struggle a bit. It wasn't enough to stop us from having fun and mom and dad helped out at times. I definitely think they will do better at it in the next couple of years.

If your family is like mine and loves playing games together, Rhyme Out is a super fun one for the whole family.

I played Rhyme Out a year ago and have been looking for it for myself since. We borrowed it to take to a gathering at Thanksgiving. Then I noticed the web site on the box. Now have my own!! We played it with grandkids at Christmas and they all liked it.
