A tasty word game for the whole family! Players literally pass the peas, building words on top of each other's, in this roly-poly word-building game. 2–4 players. Grades 3+
  1. Pick a pod and 10 letter peas, and build a word.
  2. Pass your pod to the left. Use your remaining peas to build on top of the word on the new pod in front of you.
  3. When the pea pods have made a full round, count up the number of your colored peas still showing in all of the pods. The player with the most peas after 3 rounds wins the game!
180 letter peas in 4 different colors, 4 colored pea pods, 4 pea tile bags, sand timer, and game guide.

Pass the Peas™

  • Letter tiles measure 0.75" diameter.
  • Pea pods measure 8.75"W x 2.75"H.
  • Tile bags measure 3.375"W x 4"H.
  • Sand timer measures 1" diameter x 3.625"H.
  • Peas are career game inventor MaryJo's all time favorite food, so it's no surprise she tossed them into her latest word game, Pass the Peas. In fact, she snuck so many of the little green guys from her mother's garden as a child that her mom thought they had a rabbit problem! To this day she'll add peas to anything she can—soups, salads, pasta, word games—but she still prefers popping one straight from the pod.

Comments about Educational Insights Pass the Peas™:

This felt like a fast paced version of Scrabble with a twist. I played with some younger family members and it definitely kept us on our feet since we had a limited time to come up with words. This game forces you to focus.
