Comments about Educational Insights GeoSafari® Night Explorer:

My youngest Jax just turned two and he is quite the little explorer! I think having an older brother and sister makes him a little more adventurous and willing to try whatever they do!

We do a lot of camping, especially this time of year and so our last trip was the perfect opportunity to try out his new GeoSafari Night Explorer.

The kids all have their own flashlights and lanterns so of course Jax wants his own as well. This one is not your everyday ordinary flashlight though. Instead of shining a normal light, this one is red to help find an explore the creatures and nature of the night!

I had a little trouble getting the batteries in because it has a super tiny screw so I had to locate the smallest screwdriver to be able to put batteries in. It takes three AAA which it doesn't come with.

The button is pretty big and easy to just press off and on so even my toddler can do it by himself. It also happens to glow in the dark for easy finding at night!

There's a little clip to attach to a belt but he wasn't too keen on this option. He wanted it in his hands all the time!

Since we were in a campground instead of our usual desert camping we went on night walks to see what we could find. We located several bunnies and when they saw that red light they just froze and you could see their eyes glowing.

The light itself doesn't shine that far or bright but we were still able to use it to locate and see animals because they were close enough to us.

If you have a little explorer in your house, this flashlight makes some for great night-time fun!

Comments about Educational Insights GeoSafari® Night Explorer:

My son loved flashlights. Our household ones are all heavy and breakable. I was worried about him playing with them. This is perfect for him. It is not only lightweight, but when he dropped it, it did not break. It has a very bight light ans was easy for him to turn off and on. If your kids love to light up the room this is perfect for them. It is also great for flashlight tag. No worrying about them running around with it and dropping it on their toes or breaking it.

My son has loved everything he has gotten from the GeoSafari collection. They are all fun and educational.

This may look like a normal flaghlight, but it is a red light flashlight. This means your kids can use to to study maps and also nocturnal creatures. The belt clasp is a nice added feature! The only thing is it seems more suited for younger kids, but younger kids would not be using this outside alone. It's a neat product though!

This night time explorer flashlight creates an exciting adventure for any child. My child used it on a camping trip. It was great to keep beside her when she was sleeping for the night time trip to the bathroom. The outside was illuminated well with the red light. The light is not to bright when shined in your eyes. It is the perfect size for little hands and isn't too heavy. I received this item in exchange for my honest opinion of the product.

My nine year old son was thrilled to use this flashlight for a night-time walk. We didn't see any wildlife but he was super-excited about the red light. It's nice that it's not too bright. Simple, durable flashlight- we will be taking it with us camping this summer!

Comments about Educational Insights GeoSafari® Night Explorer:

We got this product with my not-quite-5 year old daughter in mind. She loves to play with flashlights and she does not play well with giant Maglights, if you know what I mean :). This flashlight has been great!

I never would have considered how awesome a flashlight with a red bulb would be but I love it. In fact, I'm tempted to buy another one that lives in our suit case for travel and camping trips so that they don't wake the whole room up with bathroom trips or when they are looking for something.

It's pretty durable and it's not crazy bright. We've only had to tell them to stop shining it in peoples faces a half dozen times ;). I like the no-roll feature because it's unobtrusive, but it works. Really, it's a great flashlight for kids of all ages -- my 2 year old boy and 7.5 year old girl love it, too. That it uses AAA batteries and needs a screwdriver to change them nice, too.

This flashlight is a great choice for night time exploration. My son used this flashlight on a neighborhood walk after dinner and was so excited when we saw a possum running across the street. The red light doesn't scare away critters like a bright white light would. The flashlight is durable and has withstood several drops on the concrete. This flashlight is a must for backyard camping too. Highly recommend!
