I like to keep my kids brains working over the summer so they don't turn into moosh! Maybe it's not all that bad but I definitely want to keep them sharp. My seven year old son Reed especially enjoys a good challenge so I thought of him when I saw Kanoodle Extreme, even though the recommended age is 8+.I liked that it was for one player. He does really well with challenges like this and with just one kid playing at a time that means no fighting! This is basically like an intricate puzzle that definitely makes you think outside the box, or in depending which version you are playing! In one variation of the game, the sliding 2-D sliding puzzles actually utilizes the sliding lid which is a great use of something that also doubles for storage!I think Reed's favorite way to play was the 3D version in which he built things! There is also 2-D puzzles that seemed simpler to me.I will say this was trickier than I expected and I even struggled a little in explaining it to Reed. That's just not the way my mind works. Luckily his does and he was able to figure out Kanoodle Extreme without mom. So much for 8+!

Kanoodle Extreme provides more challenges and goes beyond the original Kanoodle. We have both and both are a ton of fun. we love trying to figure out the Kanoodle puzzles. There are different type of puzzles you can do from 2 d to 3 d puzzles. They get harder with the 3 d puzzles. This is well made, gets you thinking, and easy to take on the go.Love KanoodlePlease note that this product was given to me in exchange for my honest review.

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
Independent Play - We love busy play, and Kanoodle Extreme does just that. We love that it's a game that is all about strategy and helps the kids develop some critical thinking skills. It also challenges their spacial reasoning. All skills will benefit them as they grow.Progressive Play - As you play, the levels get increasingly difficult. We love when games can be played at various levels and continue on, instead of the quick win type games.Portable - We love that Kanoodle is compact in design making it a perfect game to take while traveling. Perfect for when there's a little downtime at the airport, or even on a train or bus.All Age Play - Even the grown ups want to get in on the action. This game appeals to kids of all ages. While it says 7 and up, it is a game that can be played with the younger kids with assistance, which can boost their confidence.
Brain Buster for 8 kids and adults
By Cher at Mom and More

Kanoodle Extreme is a travel sized puzzle game where you slide open a compartment to maneuver little plastic spheres. Everything fits nicely in a plastic box just bigger than a smartphone so it is completely portable. The instruction booklet has 303 brain-busting puzzles to solve. The player has to fit the spheres on the plastic board to fit various combinations, with the puzzles getting more and more challenging. After mastering 2-D puzzles, the player can move onto 3-D puzzles which is pyramid building. Honestly these puzzles are challenging! I tried a few and they definitely worked my brain! Perfect for kids to challenge themselves and while it is only for a single player, players could take turns with the puzzles. I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
A Challenging Puzzle Game

I received this sample from Educational Insights for review. Opinions are honest. No compensation received. From an early age, my daughter was also interested in and good at putting jigsaw puzzles together. Last year she was given the original Kanoodle set and she spent a lot of time figuring out the puzzles, so she was very excited to try Kanoodle Extreme which asks the player to solve 303 2-D and 3-D puzzles. The player solves the puzzle by using just 12 different shaped pieces. This game is not just for kids. I had fun trying to tackle some of the puzzles too, but that was when I was able to get it away from my daughter. I was impressed how serious she took the task of solving the puzzles. It really kept her occupied and entertained for quite some time. I appreciate that this is a challenging, educational and fun activity.

About Me Working Parent
Finding ways to keep my 10 year old entertained is not easy but this game provides a fun challenge. My son and I spent hours figuring out the 3D pyramid. I like the fact that it forces you to think two steps ahead and develop a strategy in order to complete it. Ultimately I believe it inspires curiosity which in my opinion leads to a need to learn.
Challenging and fun
from Land O Lakes, FL
This was definitely too hard for my 7 year old, but she sure did try! And she had fun trying :) My son is 10 and we worked together to figure out some of the puzzles. This is definitely a game that keeps on giving - there are lots of different ways to challenge yourself and have fun. It is one that YOU as the parent may even find yourself playing from time to time!We did receive this product for review, but our opinions are 100% our own!
Suits all brains and all levels - perfect for summers!
We had never owned Kanoodle but had played it once - so Kanoodle extreme was a triple bonus, as it had three versions of Kanoodle game in one set. The 2 D sliding puzzles were more fun than the 2d ones for my son, but he loved the 3D ones the most. The booklet was rather useful and my son played it in the car instead of on ipad for the first time.I must say it was easy to handle, use, stack, fill spaces and had extremely good puzzles for all levels of difficulty (I was struggling with some too)! Well over 300 puzzles and yet came in such a compact box, versatile and easy to travel with - absolutely delighted my 9 year old's thirst for challenge and logical reasoning - will recommend. Loved it!
