Comments about GeoSafari® Jr. Aqua Magnifier:

My four-year-old twins and eight-year-old (all boys) received this toy and were so excited to use it that they tried it in the bathtub for the first time. Needless to say, they didn't find much. We tried it out at the lake and were a bit more successful, but they quickly lost interest in this product. They haven't used it since. Unless your child is an avid explorer or very into science, I would not recommend this product. Also, the smaller twist-cap on the top isn't very durable. My eight-year-old busted it off almost immediately, but we exchanged for a new one and we haven't had that problem again.

Comments about GeoSafari® Jr. Aqua Magnifier:

My kids had a lot of fun playing with the Geosafari Jr. Aqua Magnifier on a recent day trip. They really enjoyed looking at the tiny things, especially tadpoles, in the pond water up close. The lid is very easy to open and close for younger kids. There are a few negatives to the toy. The magnifying lenses easily become foggy making it difficult to see what's inside. In addition, all creatures trapped inside the container would die because there is no way to automatically add more air. My children were hoping to bring the water home for longer observation time. This item would be best for children who live near or frequently visit lakes, streams, or ponds so they (with parental assistance) could have more opportunities to observe what is living in the water around them.

The magnifier seems durable and made well. I haven't had much chance to use it. The couple time i tried it it does magnify items and appears as though it will last long.

Comments about GeoSafari® Jr. Aqua Magnifier:

My seven year old son was very excited to collect lake water and use the magnifiers to check out any creatures. The magnifiers work well but it would be nicer to have one large view magnifier and it would be easier to use. I love that the cover is attached and cannot get lost. My younger kids were fighting over this, I might need to get another!
I received this for review from Educational Insights but all opinions are my own.

Comments about GeoSafari® Jr. Aqua Magnifier:

My eight year old and 5 year old were excited to receive this and immediately went into the creek in our backyard to try it out! The plastic seems durable and well made. I love that the lid is attached so it cannot be lost. I also like the way the lid is designed so it is easy for little ones to open. The magnifiers aren't bad. Instead of having three different size magnifiers on a small bottle, I would have preferred one larger sized magnifier. It is hard to get an object into position to look at it through the specific magnifier you want.

*Educational Insights provided me with this in exchange for an honest review.

Comments about GeoSafari® Jr. Aqua Magnifier:

This magnifier is durable and easy to use. The 3 magnifiers work well. It's labeled 4+, but I don't want my 4 year old in water with the "good samples". It would be great for an older explorer who could be trusted in questionable water or like me the parent gathers the sample and kids explore once in the container.
