Wouldn't Reccomend

Comments about Educational Insights Design & Drill® Power Tool Workshop:

My grandmother purchased this as a gift for my sons, when we received the item it was missing both of the drills- which she wasn't aware needed to be purchased separately. My sons unwrapped this gift with excitement to only discover that they couldn't play with it... Resulting in a tantrum with no immediate fix :-/ not a happy parent.

Comments about Educational Insights Design & Drill® Power Tool Workshop:

First of all, no where on the box does it imply batteries are needed, supplied or what kind if so. You have to wait until you are home, have opened it, your child be excited, just to explain "sorry honey there are no batteries we will have to wait till the next time we go to the store", LAME!!! ;(
My other massive complaint is that the clasp if you want to call it that, on the top that is SUPPOSED to hold the thing together does no such thing! LAME!!
It is two weak and poorly designed to hold the case closed pops off every single time! Too much stress!!!! Good thought, poorly executed!!!

Comments about Educational Insights Design & Drill® Power Tool Workshop:

The jumbo power screwdriver is poorly constructed. The one we got out of the box didn't work. We ordered another and it didn't work either. Seems that the soldering on the connections is faulty. We heard rattling inside both screwdrivers we received.

Comments about Educational Insights Design & Drill® Power Tool Workshop:

The Design & Drill is a wonderful product for my 5 year old. Even though he is very coordinated, this product still challenges him, and brings out his creativity for designing patterns and more. Even my 2 1/2 yr old son was facinated by it and although this is a product for ages 3+, I felt comfortable playing along side my younger son and letting him explore too! Good stuff EI, keep 'em coming!
