CREATIVITY FOR A CAUSE: EDUCATIONAL INSIGHTS PARTNERS WITH CHELSEA'S CHARITY BY PROVIDING PLAYFOAM IN OVER 350 ART KITS FOR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Playfoam is the never-drying, smart, squishy compound that opens imaginations and possibilities through creative sensory play

GARDENA, CA (August 12, 2020) - Educational Insights, an award-winning educational toy company, ay announced an official partnership with Chelsea's Charity - an organization created by 10-year-old Chelsea Phaire that is devoted to donating art supplies and lessons to children in support of their social-emotional and mental health development. Chelsea's Charity began exactly one year ago for Chelsea's 10th birthday and since then has provided over 1,500 art kits to children in foster care agencies, domestic violence and homeless shelters, and more in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. In honor of Chelsea’s 11th birthday, Educational Insights has made a creative contribution to the cause with the addition of Playfoam in over 350 art kits this month. Playfoam is a never-drying, satisfying alternative to sticky slime that is completely mess-free and toxin-free, so children as young as 3 years old can bring their imagination to life through endless sensory play.

When COVID-19 concerns began earlier this year, Chelsea's Charity shifted from local donations to widespread contributions for children in up to 22 states. Each art kit includes a variety of supplies, such as colored pencils, crayons, glue, markers, and a sketchbook. This month, kids can expect a new long-lasting element to their artwork with an assortment of colorful Playfoam products that bring their masterpieces off the page. This includes the Playfoam Pals Wild Friends, Pet Party, and the newest of the Playfoam Pals series, Space Squad, which is now available at Target. Kids can also “paint by number” with Color by Playfoam, a unicorn or dragon-themed canvas with five Playfoam colors and a squisher tool to make a custom masterpiece. Sculpting Playfoam encourages creativity and self-expression, while also promoting tactile awareness and fine motor skills for little ones.

“Chelsea's initiative and positive role in her community and beyond is inspiring and something both kids and adults can look up to,” said Lisa Guilli, General Manager at Educational Insights. “We are honored to be part of Chelsea's creative cause, which is supporting children's social-emotional and mental health through artistic expression. We can't think of a better way to celebrate Chelsea's 11th birthday than with over 350 kits sent to kids all over the country!”
