This is one of the best products ever invented. Every teacher should own one. I bought one for my cousin's kids. They love it. Games can be created with ease. Their father is a physics teacher. He has made some games for his classroom with great success.
This was done right. It has daily doubles, the right music, good score-keeping and a realistic feel which keeps it from being cheesy like homemade or power point versions.
It is a must have for teachers. I like the fact that you can make games right on your laptop without having the game out and that this can be done over time (multiple sittings).
It is so well done that I was hoping that the creators would make deals with other games (e.g. Who wants to be a millionaire?)so that I can have more than one type of professional game to play. I want it to be this company because I am impressed with the quality and authenticity of their work.
One honest negative...the pre-made cartridges (4th, 5th grade) can get boring for the kids. They are OK. Just buy a few and if the kids like it and have played them all you can buy more. No need to buy every single one all at once. I was able to make some fun ones for them by combining some educational categories with some popular categories (TV, music, cartoons, etc.). My outstanding praise is regarding making your own cartridges.

I have been teaching History for a dozen years at a small high school. I have used this product for about three years and have recommended it to anyone and everyone I know in education! How it's great:Easy to useCan make your own games easily about any topicCan download ready-made games online and even customize those if neededTest scores improve GREATLY if I allow the students play the game using their test questions twice. Even 50 question tests...even my special education students!The students BEG to play constantly. Really! I have had one group for all three years and they never get tired of it.I also used it this summer for my family reunion with questions about the people there. I had old ladies screaming out answers and people laughing out loud! Great ice breaker!This would also be good for meetings...break up the boredom!I used to give out boring packets to get the students ready for state testing. This year I turned it into 6 Classroom Jeopardy Games and they ate it up!! This week we had showdowns between the classes and we got so loud with laughter that we were told to hold it down because they could hear us down the hall! It gets exciting almost every game. Overpriced - yes, clunky - yes. I would never have bought this product except that I had a lot of Scholastic coupons. BUT, am I ever glad I did! The previous reviewer is not correct. I design games using Mac OS 10.6.3 with no problem at all. Perhaps she didn't download the online update.
This product is so engaging, my students beg for Jeopardy days. My elementary aged grandchildren love to come over and play too, and the 10 year old can even design his own games.
So much better than designing and playing jeopardy online, which I did with my students previously.

Nice design. Works great with PCs and older macs. They have not updated the software since I bought my machine back in '04 or so. It will not work on new Macs.. particularly 10.5.x or 10.6. You can edit the games but they will not load onto the cartridges unless you can find a PC every time you need to use it.
