Comments about My daughter is in second grade but is reading on a higher lever. I wanted something to challenge her so I got her the Hot Dots Grade 3 reading set. It has been really great for her. She loves all of the challenges and even the advanced challenges and it is putting her a step above the other students in her class. I wish there was a way to hook up headphones, but otherwise we love everything about it. Great resource for good readers and those who need to improve. They work on Reading Comprehension, Synonyms & Antonyms, Homophones & Multiple-meaning Words, Context Clues, Spelling, and Punctuation & Grammar. So many different things that are brought to them in a fun way through the Hot Dots System. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Hot Dots Math Grade 3 was a gift for my 8 y.o. He seemed to enjoy using the stylus pen to work on the activities in the included booklets. Being the curious boy that he is, he had to spend some time purposefully getting answers wrong so he could see what would happen. This activity is very easy for kids to figure out and it is nice that they can play with it independently too. An added feature for me is that a mute option is possible on the pen. Sometimes we all need a bit of quiet. If you are wondering what topics are included, here's a quick run down: Place Value (both vocabulary and identifying which place a number is located), Math Vocabulary, Multiplication (story problems and math facts), Fractions, Elapsed Time, Weight, Temperature, Perimeter, Data & Statistics (using graphs/charts), Comparing Whole Numbers, Division Facts, Area, Rounding, Comparing Fractions (, =), Volume, and Algebra. At the back of the second book there is a Challenge section that acts a bit like a chapter review in a math book. It has a few pages of questions covering the different topics presented in the books. - Was this a gift?:

Cons Best Uses Comments about My boys are reluctant to practice math skills, "just for fun", so I tried the Hot Dots, Let's Master Grade 3 math. They immediately pulled the pen out and started answering the questions in the book. They didn't mind getting the answers wrong, and kept trying. The content is similar to the common core math that they encounter at school, so I was very happy with this product. I will buy hot dots products in the future. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about I want my children to do well in school. I want them to be accelerated learners. With the help of Hot Dots I can help my child master skills at home without them feel like I am tutoring them or forcing them to learn more. Hot Dots makes learning fun. They say that child digress during summer breaks. Hot Dots is going to be a great tool to help my children retain their learning and skills during the summer months. I want them to go back to school remembering what they learned the previous year. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about We received the Hot Dots Let's Master 3rd Grade Math set for review purposes. My daughter is not in 3rd grade yet, but we have had great experiences with the Hot Dots sets for the younger grades so we decided we needed to have them all on hand for future grades. They are fun and educational, and all of them are right on target with the skills they should be learning in those grade levels. I love both the math and reading sets from Hot Dots.
