Comments about My kids were all recently gifted Hot Dots Sets for reading and math for all three of them. So far, these sets have provided hours of fun and engaging learning experiences for my kids, and a ton of quite time for me. Since the magic battery operated pens that selects the dots is not an actual pen, my kitchen table has stayed clean! The magic pens requires two AAA batteries so I suggest buying quality batteries if your child will be using this a lot. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about My 6 y.o. has enjoyed working on math with his new Hot Dots Grade 2 Math set. The stylus is easy for him to use and provides immediate feedback on how he is doing through the use of phrases, sounds, and lights. The following topics are covered in the two included booklets: Place Value, Numbers (expanded form practice, even vs odd), Patterns, Math Vocabulary (addend, difference, sum, fact family), Addition/Subtraction Facts, Length, Telling Time, Data & Statistics (graphs, charts), Geometry (shapes), Number Sentences, Algebra, Story Problems, Counting Money, Fractions, as well as a Challenge section that is a review of all the child has worked on in the two books. Whether at home or on the road, this is a good way for kids to pass a bit of time while learning something in the process. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about Let's face it, 2nd grade was a long time ago for me and I can't exactly remember what I was learning. Having Hot Dots refresh my memory on what kinds of things my son will be learning helps me know what to work on with him in daily life as well as in the Hot Dots Math book, like money and measuring. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about So I have to admit that getting the grade 2 Math box did not make my oldest as happy as the Preschooler who got the princess box. It is, after all, a school toy. No fooling her :). - Was this a gift?:

Comments about My grandson asked for Educational Insights Hot Dots Let's Master 2nd grade math after using the reading book of the same. I like that it has many different kinds of math mixed in. He doesn't get bored. There are 100 lessons and the same awesome pen. He is good in math so the extra more difficult problems make him hungry to learn them. He spends about 30 minutes with the 2 books and pen. I received a sample in exchange for a honest and unbiased review. - Was this a gift?:

Comments about This is a great way to help introduce or work on 2nd Grade Math Skills. The Hot Dot pens continues to allow kids to have fun while learning and take the "Educational" feel away from the lessons. They will enjoy the technology use and relish their accomplishments. - Was this a gift?:

My daughter is only in 1st grade, but math is her favorite subject aside from art. Since she already knew most of the information in the 1st grade set, we decided to get this set as well. It is just above where she is now, so it will be great for pushing her math skills to the next level. This set requires a lot more reading than the 1st grade set as well, so it is good for showing her why reading skills are important to math too.
