Diggity Dogs and Kitten Caboodle help kids adopt communication skills and care for their creativity. Matching and turn taking skills are bred into play and vocalizations are encouraged as kids bark like a dog or meow like a cat to collect cards. Kids can have a kennel full of play while building social skills along the way.

This game is great and among the several toys/games that my kids received over the holiday, this one game in particular was the most popular. I played it with the kids once or twice, but I think the appeal for the kids was that they could easily pick up a game amongst themselves, take turns themselves and play the entire game without needing adult supervision or rules clarification. One slight criticism: Don't name a dog after an alcoholic beverage! It's disconcerting to hear your child yell, "Oh, I wanted Whiskey!"

About Me Therapist
This is a FUN and ADORABLE game! I'm a pediatric occupational therapist, and my kids LOVE seeing how many dogs they can adopt! They also have their favorite pups that they want to rescue, so it's a very motivating game for many! I love using this game in my school-based interventions to develop visual perceptual and sequencing skills. I also facilitate a social skills group, and this is a great tool for practicing conversational turn-taking skills. Love this game!

My son liked that he could figure it out (very easy and basic concept for a 5 year old) and play again and again and again. He also LOVES dogs!
Great Family Fun

Played the game with my 7 and 9 year old children. They enjoyed it. We adopted a shelter animal earlier in the year so it was fun. It got pretty competitive when you are trying to get the same dog. There is strategy involved. Overall, I felt this was a fun and entertaining game for young children. The profiles of the dogs were really cute!

New family favorite!
I am a teacher and a mom and my kids (ages 7 and 4) absolutely love this game. It comes in a cute box and the kids loved the idea of trying to adopt as many dogs as possible. The game is played like go fish, but with a twist. My daughter loved reading the bios on each dog. Maggie is her favorite! We opened the game this afternoon and have played it at least 6 times with various family members already. The kids thought the dogs were super cute and loved making barking noises whenever they secured the three items needed to adopt a dog. It was a hit with the kids, parents and grandparents. Easy to set up, fun visuals and great family fun!

This game combines the world of matching and go-fish. It's a fun game that the family can play together. We love the real life photos of the dogs too!
LOVE this game...get to laugh AND think!
from West Hartford, CT
My kids are 6 and 10. We play this together and laugh the whole time. It's great to have a children's game where it encourages your children to think...they learn to see patterns and sort while being silly and having fun at the same time...and besides, who doesn't love dogs?? Fantsatic for pre-school and elemetary aged kids. Highly recommended!!!
Adopt a dog and have fun doing it!
My son loves dogs - so this was a good game besides, its not very difficult to play. A bit like cards, keep 2 and collect the others you want from a shared pile taking chances between players. Loads of laughs and really good for encouraging love and care of animals! In essence helps logical thinking, mixing and matching, group dynamics and even counting basics. Would recommend for a light hearted summer! PS: Its says 5+ on the box but in my view even 3-4 year olds can play or at least have a go at it!
Strategy and Fun Card Game
By Cher @ Mom and More
Diggity Dogs is a card game for kids ages 5 and up and up to four players. The goal of the game is to collect all the dogs, there are seven total. Each dog has three items on it that it needs and to obtain the dog you need to collect all three of those items. What I love is it requires kids to ask questions of each other, example "Do you have a bone?" and strategize. Kids need to pay attention to their cards and what the dogs need. Once they obtain all three items one of the dogs needs, they get to keep that dog! The cards are kid-sized and perfect for little hands to hold which is a nice touch. The game also suggests kids to act as dogs when they ask for items such as panting and barking. The dogs are adorable and they stand up for kids to see. This is such a cute little game and it even comes in a small sturdy game box for storage. I would recommend this game for any parent looking for a fun card game for their kids. My boys are 6 and 7 and enjoy this game.
