Great little dish set
About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children, Stay At Home Parent
Comments about Chet the Cat™ and Friends Dish Set:
This is a great little dish set. The dishes are sturdy enough that they could probably be used with real food. One con is that the silverware is on the small side and was easily lost among the other toys. My 6 year old daughter loves to set up the dishes and play with them with her fake kitchen food. It would be great if the dishes came in a bag or box that could be used to store the set when it's time to put it away. I would recommend this set for children 4+.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We replaced our mis-matched dishes with this set and it is adorable. We love setting our table and serving our friends our "meals"
Consumer Product Review
from Pittsburgh, PA
The product is made very well & seems durable. My daughter played with it a lot the first week because her older sister & I were sick, so she kept bringing us "soup" & water. She also likes to set it up at the dinner table for "tea parties" as well as parties with her & her sisters American Girl dolls. It's also popular with both of my daughters because we have 2 cats. It's not a toy that gets constant play, but it's well made, durable with cute graphics.
Quality set for children!
About Me First Time Parent, Stay At Home Parent
Disclosure: I received this product for free from the manufacturer so I could test it in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are exclusively mine. This dish set is one of my daughter's new favorite toys! When we received it in the mail, I was surprised at how heavy the box was. When we opened it up, I found out why. These dishes, while melamine, have an incredible weight and sturdiness to them. They are thicker than standard play dishes, and the Chet the Cat print is very versatile for a range of ages. The dishes promptly disappeared into my daughter's room and she's been happily making me "get well food" since. (I have a cold right now.) I agree with other reviewers that a storage container of some sort would be nice, but we already have a designated play kitchen basket for my daughter so it's no big deal to us. I also think that the utensils could have been slightly larger. All in all, I'm impressed with the Chet the Cat dish set. I imagine this set will be handed down to the next generation! **As a point of reference, my daughter is 6, but as mentioned above, I believe this set to be appropriate for almost any age.

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
This is such a high quality set that will surely stand up to hours and hours of play from multiple children. The art featured on the set is darling and my children loved learning all their names (and have had great fun creating back stories for each). The silverware is tiny to be used for actual eating, whereas the other pieces easily could be used as such. Overall, my children have had hours of enjoyment from this set, and I would highly recommend it.
Very Sturdy Dish Set
By Mama to M's
My 4 year old son couldn't wait until I unpacked all of dishes before he started playing with them. In the week that we have had this set he has played with it every day. I'm surprised with how well it has held his attention. Unlike some of the other play dishes we have, these are heavy, almost like my old china tea set from when I was little. He loves the sound they make when he stacks them. I was a little concerned that the design might scratch easily, so I tested it - it doesn't scratch off. I can't say how they do in the dishwasher. The size is very nice for snacks; however, I would only use the utensils for pretend play. Overall it's a great set.
Excellent quality product

This is a very high quality set. No flimsy plastic like most dish sets. This set will last. My little girl just loves everything about it and plays with it for hours. My only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is that I thought the silverware should be bigger. It is dishwasher safe. That is a plus for us. We highly recommend this set. Worth the money!
Great toy for imaginative play!
from New Ringgold, PA
Any toy that brings my kids together to play is great! This set is very sturdy and durable. I received it for my 4 and 5 year olds. They love it. They love having a full dining set up! I have watched them take this out a lot since receiving it. What is really nice is the designs on each piece. Each plate has a different design on it. They like to designate different designs for different family members. A lot of detail went into the artwork of this toy. Right down to the silver ware! I love that it is dishwasher safe. And it is a much heavier melamine than other dining play sets my kids own. It definitely gets the approval of my two kids!
It's great to have a gender neutral set.

I received this dish set as a gift and was happy to see that not only is it food-safe but it is also dishwasher-safe. That is great news for this busy mom! With seven children in our home, it is nice to see such a durable dish set being offered in the marketplace. The melamine dishes feel very sturdy and the four cute characters were instantly loved by my youngest three. One suggestion I would make is for the utensils to be a bit heftier/chunkier so small hands could manipulate them a little easier. Also, I would like to see each of the four characters faces represented on the utensils. Providing children with the chance to match the silverware with the corresponding plate could provide one more level of learning with this set. It would also be nice if a drawstring bag or some type of storage container was offered. This is a quality toy dish set and as a mom to both boys and girls, I appreciate that it wasn't made in pink and purple. Instead, artist Michael Slack created a whimsical theme that can be appreciated and enjoyed regardless of gender.I noticed on the box that free downloadable placemats were available online. I like that idea and think it would be fun to laminate some. One suggestion I have for the placemats is to add little pictures to teach children the proper placement for silverware, etc. Again, I'm one who enjoys adding just one more level of learning to imaginative play.
