Early Learning & Creative Play Product Manager

We are currently seeking an Early Learning & Creative Play Product Manager to manage the strategic development and execution of new products as well as oversee the maintenance for the line's entire portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Oversee complete development for new products in Early Learning and Creative Play. Includes, but is not limited to ideation, sourcing, managing vendors and vendor communications, preparing detailed RFQs, developing content, managing outside development resources, meeting or beating agreed upon schedules and budgets, etc.
Manage new product concepting and presentation development for yearly line review process.
Develop and own product line strategy. Includes evaluating line strengths and weaknesses, confirming that line continues to support the overall Educational Insights brand and supports current needs of our customers and end users.
Stay abreast of Early Childhood education trends and market needs.
Work with Marketing and Sales to make sure all new and current products in line are being properly marketed to both customers and end users.
Manage product revamps on an as-need basis throughout the year.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5-7 years product line management, brand management or product development/editorial development experience
Must have very strong project management skills; solid background in or knowledge of early childhood education a plus.
Microsoft suite proficiency; strong copywriting/copyediting/proofreading skills; strong web experience; social networking experience.
Must be a very strong project manager who knows how to overcome obstacles. Must also be talented at taking sales data, customer feedback and market trends and applying them to solid product and business decisions.
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to problem solve.
